Safety Tips

Passengers are advised to take these precautionary measures before and during the journey for their own safety.

 

1. Never eat or drink anything from any unknown person. By doing this, you may fall victim to crime and may lose your luggage.

 

 2. Stone pelting at trains is a serious crime and can lead to damage to the railway property, passenger and staff. You or your dear ones may be booked under the railway law if found pelting stones at trains. Don't consider it as child play, and prohibit your children from this crime.

 

 

 

  

 

 3. It is a crime to carry inflammable material and gas cylinders during journey. It may cause the loss of precious lives and property.

 

 

 

 

 4. Keep an eye on suspicious individuals. Promptly inform Railways Police of an unattended luggage and suspicious individuals.

 

 

 

5. Smoking is not allowed at railway stations and trains. It is forbidden to smoke in a carriage without asking the  permission of the fellow passenger where it is allowed to smoke.

 

 

6. In case of any emergency or any fire incident promptly pull the emergency chain which is installed in every compartment of the train.


 

7. Always stay alert and be aware of your surroundings at railway stations and trains.

 

8. When sitting in your cabin, keep a vigilant eye around and ensure proper security arrangements.

 

9. If you see something unusual in your surroundings, evaluate it. After evaluation, if you still cannot determine if a threat exists or not, notify to the area Railways Police station..

 

10. Do not touch any unidentified object. Explosive could be concealed in a number of  objects including toys, transistors, lunch boxes, bottles, bags etc.

 

11.Make eye contact with people around you.

 

12. While traveling through trains, always check under your seats for any suspicious objects.

 

13. Keep your mobile phone charged and make sure that all emergency numbers are feeded in your mobile.

 

14. Passengers should inform the railways police regarding any suspicious activities, articles  and other objects by visiting the nearest railways police station or  any help desk present at railway station.
